- Spaldyng requests the king's letters under the privy seal to the sheriffs of London and to the bailiffs to take the body of Harpour where they find him in London so that Spaldyng can live in peace without menace from him. Harpour was outlawed in the city for trespass made against Spaldyng but the sheriffs did not wish to attach him though he was often in the city.

- The petition is dated to? 1343 on the basis of the dating of the Chancery warrant in which this petition may have been enclosed (22 August 1343, C 81/285, no.14944). The guard note on that Chancery warrant questions the relationship, but the hand of the petition is appropriate for a document of that date.
