- The Rydefords request that a writ be sent to the chancellor to command a writ to the justices hearing their suit against Malemeyns to proceed in the plea, notwithstanding that Malemeyns made the king a party to the plea. The Rydefords have sued a writ of escheat against Malemeyns for land in Rothwell which was formerly John de Rothewell's which he held of Malet, and following Rothewell's forfeiture for felony, the same should have reverted to Joan de Rydeford as granddaughter and heir of Malet. Malemeyns has pleaded that he holds the same of the king and cannot answer without him, and the justices will not proceed.
