Description

Refers to property tithe of estate called Bon Esperance, St George's parish; encloses copy of the will of Benjamin Ralph; will refers to many enslaved persons of African descent, whom he talks of as property in his will, and free persons of African descent; refers to a free woman of African descent called Esther, a enslaved woman of African descent called Plaisance, his daughters Magdelene Ralph and Adelaide Ralph, whom he describes as 'my Mulatto Daughter', and refers to a person mentioned in last will and testiment of John Parr, a man also called John Parr, whom he describes as 'the Mulatto son of the said testator'.
