Transmits a copy of an Act of the legislature of Grenada [not in item], repealing a part of the Guardian Act; the part repealed is a clause whereby ten per cent was paid by the colony for every hundred pounds paid on the manumission of Slaves; Maitland states 'a great abuse had been made of this provision, by persons manumitting Infants, or young children (generally their own illegitimate offspring) thereby burdening the Colony in a manner never intended.'
