Refers to information requested by Secretary of State in despatch dated 4 October 1804, relating to slavery and enslaved persons; does not have information ready to send relating to the total number of free 'Negroes' and 'coloured people'; sends information relating to other heads of information about slavery; encloses account of all the enslaved persons of African descent imported into Grenada every year since 1788, and of the number of persons re-exported in each year; encloses account of number of enslaved persons currently in Grenada divided in 'classes'; refers to legislation regarding the 'protection' of slaves and failing of some 'Guardians' to having taken the requisite oath.
