Description

Pages 377-378. H Hobhouse to Reverend C W Ethelstone, Longsight, Manchester. Hobhouse thanks him for his joint letter from himself and W Harrison, on behalf of Livesay, dated 3 May, delivered by Livesay who also wished to see Sidmouth in person, having been told to do so by Ethelstone. Hobhouse advises him that Livesay had previously tried to correspond with the Secretary of State, and 'falsely estimates the sphere in which he moves'. He adds that Livesay should be kept at a distance.
