Pages 358-359. H Hobhouse to James Norris, Manchester. Hobhouse acknowledges his letter of 1 March, which agrees with other intelligence received. He states that Byng feels strong enough to handle any emergency which might arise. He comments on the return of prisoners to Manchester Gaol, and that Sidmouth is pleased that Norris is to succeed to the Stewardship of the Leet of Manchester.
