Italy: Genoa (Genova). 6 items illustrating Operation Grog 9 February 1941. (6) Navigator's course chart. Reference table. (8) Plan of the bombardment run by HM Ships Renown, Malaya and Sheffield. Signed by M J Evans, Commander HMS Renown. (9) Track chart showing the approach to Genoa. Signed by H J Woodward, Midshipman RNR, 20 February 1941. (10) Track chart of HMS Ark Royal between 0400 and 0900. Compass indicator. Drawn by G R C Penrose, Sub-Lieutenant (Acting) RN. (11) Plan, with coloured, MS additions, of the town and port showing the harbour, contours, buildings and roads. Compass indicator. (12) Spotting grid for bombing targets, showing the fall of shot from all ships. Scales: (6), (9) and (12) scales not shown; (8) 1:234782; (10) 1:364800; (11) 1:6550. (6) Originally Appendix II to a report by Captain A F E Palliser, Commanding HMS Malaya; all originally enclosed in a report dated 26 February 1941 by the Flag Officer Commanding Force H. 2 photographs of large scale maps of areas under attack and a chart showing the fall of shot from HMS Malaya remain in ADM 199/798. Sheet sizes between 23 cm x 33 cm and 58 cm x 39 cm.
