North America and Arctic Ocean. 2 copies of a map of an area bordered by Baffin Bay (Greenland), Ellesmere Island (Arctic) and Committee Bay and Baring Strait (North West Territories, now part of Canada), showing (i) the North West Passage discovered by Captain R le M McClure, HMS Investigator and (ii) the coast explored while in search of Sir J Franklin, by E A Inglefield, Commander, HMS Phoenix. Reference keys to discoveries. Scales: 1 inch to 50 miles. Drawn by W H Fawkener. (4) lithographed by [J & C] Walker 11 October 1853; (5) lithographed by Day & Son 14 October 1853. Published at the Admiralty Hydrographic Office.
