Description

Russian Empire and Ottoman Empire. Map of the coast (now in Ukraine and Romania) from Odessa (Odesa) to the Danube Delta, showing the ground swell of waves, the advance of shallow banks since the Russian survey of 1830, the retreat of shallow banks since the closure of Soodinovo mouth, prevailing currents, river mouths, lakes and towns. Reference table. No scale shown. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain T Spratt, HMS Medina and originally accompanying his opinion on the Suez Canal project, submitted to the Hydrographer of the Navy 30 January 1858.
