Egypt. 'Plan of the harbour of Suez shewing the line now proposed for the Maritime Canal and the Establishments of the Company at that Port': 2 copies of a map, both also showing railways, government land, and the line formerly proposed for the canal. (11) MS, coloured, on tracing cloth; (12) lithographed, with MS colouring. Scale: (11) [?1 inch to about 300 yards]; (12) [?1 inch to about 600 yards]. 'Copied from a plan lent by Monsieur Outrey, A. & C.G. of France'; item 12 lithographed by Harrison, Saint Martin's Lane. Item 12 endorsed: 'Memorandum /6/ F.O. Dec. 19 1865'. Dimensions: (11) 92 cm x 51 cm; (12) 41 cm x 31 cm. Both items originally enclosed in Colonel Stanton's [despatch] number 41, 6 November 1865.
