Soundings taken by HMS Champion, September 1894. Signed: Lieutenant Roland Nugent, Royal Navy; approved by Captain E Rooke. (2) Map of Necker Island showing soundings. Scale: 8 inches to about 5 cables. Compass indicator. Surveyed by Lieutenants R Nugent and F H Walter, and Midshipmen O J Prentis and R M T Stephens; some soundings taken by Midshipmen F H Mitchell, F A Rooke, R M G Knight and H H Smith; printed by Wyman and Sons, 1894.
