Japan: Edo (now Tokyo). 'Iedo': pictorial panorama of the city, with countryside and human figures in the foreground. Reference tables to numbered buildings, identifying the Emperor's palace, other palaces, temples and government offices. [Many of the descriptions in the reference tables are inaccurate. For instance, the 'Emperor's palace' is probably the Shogun's castle.]
