Description

John Clevland. There are no precedents of Naval money being paid pursuant to HM Order in Council except for Naval services which are listed overleaf from Captain Samuel Phillips of the Alexander Privateer, Captain Ephraim Cooke, the Ambuscade Privateer, Samuel Mitchelson, writer to the Signet at Edinburgh, Captain James Gambier for the Squirrel, Ann Appleby, widow of Joshua of Durham, Chemist, and Captain Carre Scrope of the Dolphin as a reward for the siege of St Phillip's Castle in Minorca
