Description

John Clevland. Are sending copies of letters from the Collectors of HM customs at different Ports complaining of the hardships suffered from the expenses they are put to for the postage of letters, conveying the remittance bills for payments pursuant to the late Act for the encouragement of seamen and for the commission they are liable to. Report on their enquiries on how this is handled in Scotland
