Description

John Clevland. As it is difficult to supply masts to Jamaica and Antigua and it is cheaper to do so from New England, we have entered into contract with Mr Henniker and one of his ships was ready to sail from Piscataqua in February. We asked Admiral Boscawen to provide a ship from his squadron to take charge of the mast ship to Jamaica. We did not hear from the Admiral and Vice Admiral Cotes reports the need for masts and other stores. Ask for a convoy to be ordered
