Thomas Corbett. The Medway is to be surveyed and the depths of water should be set off without delay to complete it. Messrs. Lewis Pantin and John Machin have offered to clean the moorings but the work of the present contractors, Messrs. Major and Haydon, should be reviewed before making a decision. Commissioner Brown has appointed one of the Master Attendants to join Mr Bryant, Master Mastmaker at Deptford, to do this. They report that on average 820 tons of mud and silt is taken up and the recommendation is that Messrs. Major and Haydon should keep the work
