Thomas Corbett. Better transport is to be provided to carry sick men from the Nore and Sheerness to the hospital at Rochester so that they no longer travel in open boats. There is also concern about the way the sick are carried from the Strand to Gosport Hospital. Commissioner Brown and the Board have decided on a suitable vessel for Rochester. For Gosport it is suggested a caravan to be made available on shore in which the sick can await carriages of an improved design. A caravan is also suggested on the shore at Rochester.
