Description

Thomas Corbett. Receipt of petition from James Jackson enlisted on the Stafford in June 1738. He left the ship in November 1738 with his Captain's permission. He fell sick ashore and during his absence the ship was paid off and he was recorded as Run in July 1739. He re-enlisted on the Namur where he now is. He is claiming his back pay for 1738. Captain Durrell of the Stafford noted against his name 'had leave for one day, never returned. Deserves no relief.'
