Folios 355-356. Letter from Sir Francis Basset, MP for Penryn:
1. reporting that he is advised from Cornwall that there is no more than 14 days worth of grain there exclusive of the government's flour in Falmouth;
2. asking that the order to ship 6000 barrels of flour to London be countermanded as this would probably lead to riots;
3. stating that the distilleries consume great quantities of barley and some wheat;
4. reiterating the alarm caused in Cornwall by the posting there of the Northamptonshire Militia.
