Description

Acknowledges receipt of circular letter of 12 March; reports the Charon and Scorpion sloop have since arrived [at Barbados?] from Africa, and the Centurion, Experiment, and Woolwich, with the 32nd Regiment and a detachment of Royal Artillery from Gibraltar, but on 9th May there was no account at Barbados of the Vengeance and her convoy from Cork; reference to French fleet; legislature and Act passed for 800 enslaved persons to complete defences on island; encloses copy of 'An Act to Limit the Duration of the Present General Assembly, and of all future Assemblies that shall at any time hereafter be called, elected, assembled, or held, for the island of Grenada and such of the Grenadines as are thereon dependent'.
