Description

Clavering to Holdernesse: the Russians' withdrawal from Berlin. They have taken booty to the value of 1,700,000 crowns. An attack by Prince Eugene of Wittenberg abandoned. The order for the march of the landgrave's guards countermanded. Dated at Brunswick. PS. that he encloses a letter [SP 87/39/52], the authenticity of which he cannot vouch for. ff. 128-130
