Folios 177-178. Letter from Ner Gardiner, clerk to Manchester Board of Guardians, to the Poor Law Commissioners. Reference is made to the enlargement and alteration to Manchester workhouse. Enclosed is a copy of a resolution by the board that plans submitted by Richard Tattishall for the alteration and enlargement of the workhouse be adopted, work to be supervised by the Workhouse Committee, subject to approval by the Commission
