Folio 164. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commissioners to Giles Duxbury, overseer of Prestwich, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 17 July. The debt due from Prestwich in respect of the board of guardians and warehouses. The Commissioners wish to know how much was made from the sale of the furniture and fixtures and in whose hands it is now placed. The presumption is to dispose of the workhouse. The appropriate forms for that purpose will be sent when it is clear what steps must be taken about the debt on the workhouse
