Clavering to Holdernesse, partially in cipher, enclosing an account of an affair 'this side the Weser' [SP 87/39/35]. General Diepenbrock is advancing from the Hartz towards the [river] Saale. The landgrave has received Holdernesse's answer to Mr. Alt's memorial, and seems satisfied. [General] Donop is to go to Magdeburg to consult with the king of Prussia. Dated at Brunswick. ff. 79, 80
