Acknowledges the receipt of Bermuda despatch No. 44. Commends Governor Hamilton for his 'diligence' in securing the island's defences even though he feels that the governor's 'apprehensions respecting the conduct of the American States, will prove to be ill-founded'. Also comments on measures being taken to ensure that Bermuda received provisions.
