Clavering to Holdernesse: the landgrave's birthday has been celebrated at court with much magnificence, and Clavering suggests this should be reported in the Gazette. He encloses the Berlin Bulletin with an account of the motions of the Prussian army [SP 87/39/21]. The Württemberg troops have arrived near Bamberg, and may be used together with the Saxons to raise contributions in Hanover. Demands of the French intendant for raising contributions in Hesse.
