Clavering to Holdernesse: account of an action by the hereditary prince at Erksdorf. General Lückner is said to have marched to destroy the enemy bakery at Marburg. The British legion may have been dislodged from Stadtbergen. The French are in Paderborn, which leads the landgrave to believe he is no longer safe in Rinteln. He has written to the regency of Hanover to ask whether his guards may take refuge there, and Clavering speculates that the king might take them into his service. Dated at Rinteln. ff. 32, 33
