Description

Three draft letters:

  • the first, addressed to Governor Hamilton, concerns new copper coinage;
  • the second, addressed to Governor Hamilton, acknowledges the receipt of Bermuda despatches Nos. 37 to 41 and reports the plan to send a company of soldiers to the island. Encloses a 'return of the Company of Royal Artillery Invalids formed from the pensioners of that corps' listing the number of soldiers at each rank for a total of 54 men; and
  • the third is addressed to Commander Durnford RE in response to his letter of 1 May.
