Description

Moltke to Königsegg [copy]: his escape with two Hanoverian squadrons from Ghent. The commander of Sluys refused him free passage. Fearing that Bruges might have fallen, he has come to Ostend. Considerations for defence of the town, including opening the dykes. He has asked the governor of Bruges to send his garrison. Dated at Ostend. PS on communication with the English consul. ff. 250-257
