Ligonier [to Carteret]: the stadholder has shown Ligonier his letter to Carteret. It would be appreciated by the princes of Hesse if the king were to allow the Hessians to march to Brabant via Hesse. German troops could then quarter in Malines, allocated to the Hessians. He would not meddle in such matters if the stadholder had not ordered him to. Dated at Biberich. ff. 148, 149
