Carteret to Ligonier on the ransom of the three musketeer quartermasters. He encloses the opinion of Count Chanclos and Lord Albemarle [SP 87/12/63]. The two quartermasters of the chevaux legers are also to be ransomed as quartermasters only. He encloses a blank pass for the seven sick French soldiers. Arenberg will send a commissary the next day.
