Description

Stair to Carteret: his chagrin at not being appointed to a vacant colonelcy. Dispositions of British, Hanoverian and Austrian troops. A bridge of boats is ready at Frankfurt. Austrian victory over the Bavarians. He encloses a memorial [SP 87/12/21]. Dated at Höchst. PS. he has sent Mr Fountaine back to Hanover. He encloses memorials from Captain Malcom and Colonel Durouse. Movements of the French. He suggests forming regiments of French deserters. ff. 46-49
