Description

To Carteret from Stair: he encloses a memorial [SP 87/11/9], which will be delivered by [Lieutenant] General Clayton. Importance of bringing the artillery up the Rhine. Need for engineers in case a siege becomes necessary. Dated at Ghent. PS. that he encloses memorials from the general officers [SP 87/11/10] and the artillery officers. ff. 15, 16
