Stair to Carteret: a letter from Robinson indicates that Maria Theresa will contest the French army's retreat to France. He has met with Arenberg and Neipperg, and they agree that this depends on the support of Great Britain. Arenberg still insists that British troops should go into Germany, and will go to London to press his case. Review of the Hessians. The French are reinforcing Dunkirk and surroundings.
