Stair to Carteret: meetings with Harrach, Arenberg, Neipperg, Prince George of Hesse and Prince Frederick. Arenberg and Neipperg pressed for the Hanoverians and Hessians to join an Austrian force to winter on the Rhine near Coblenz, and the British to join them. He has given them reasons why this is impossible. The duke of Nouailles and the defences of Dunkirk. Vulnerability of Dunkirk. Dated at Brussels. PS. that he encloses a letter [SP 87/10/65] given him by Mr Burrish, the project of the cantonments [SP 87/10/66], and a memorial of the current situation [SP 87/10/67]. ff. 136, 137
