Stair to Carteret: Count Sinzheim has shown him two letters from the emperor, who wishes to make peace with Maria Theresa, and has given him plenipotentiary powers. Stair has told Sinzheim that the emperor is acting in concert with France, and has said as much to Prince William of Hesse through Mr Mann. He encloses the heads of a memorial [SP 87/10/53] on the subject for Prince William. He does not believe Maillebois will enter Bohemia. He encloses a parcel from Prince William of Hesse.
