Extract and translation. Extract from a letter from Regensburg dated 27 August 1742: it will be seen by the extract from Khevenhüller's letter that the French have abandoned their camp and are heading for Amberg with the intention of joining with Maillebois, who still hopes to relieve Prague, failing which he will dig in near Nuremberg. Seckendorff with his Bavarians is retiring on Straubing. Translation of an extract of a letter from Khevenhüller at camp at Osterhofen dated 20 August 1742: on the enemy abandoning their camp he gave pursuit, charging their rearguard with hussars. He has thrown a bridge across the Danube and will gather his army there. ff. 56, 57
