Stair to Carteret, enclosing a list of French troops in the Netherlands [SP 87/10/5], and a memorial of a conversation between himself, Arenberg and Neipperg [SP 87/10/6]. The importance of mastery at sea. He encloses a memorial on the Austrians' acute shortage of money [SP 87/10/7, 8]. He has received a peace proposal from the Spanish ambassador, and encloses their correspondence thereon. News of Prague from [Thomas] Villiers. The king of Prussia is to return directly from Aix-la-Chapelle. Austria's mistake in not contenting the king of Sardinia. Dated at The Hague. ff. 8-10
