Description

Stair to Carteret: they await news of the march of the Hanoverians and Hessians. The provision of bread and wagons for the army is settled. Diligence of [Colonel Humphrey] Bland. Arenberg has petitioned the Dutch for artillery. He encloses a letter from Colonel [William] Graeme outside Prague [SP 87/9/123], a packet from Villiers and letters from Berlin. The king of Prussia's desire for a good peace with France. Dated at The Hague. Ps. that he has arranged the bread and wagons without authority. His and Arenberg's memorials in favour of the king's troops acting as auxiliaries to the Austrians. ff. 262-265
