Stair and Robert Trevor to Carteret, enclosing the terms [SP 87/9/28] in which the resolution of the states of Holland has been put to the states general. It has been referred to a committee. Obduracy of the states of Friesland and Groningen. They enclose a project [SP 87/9/29] of what they intend to say to the deputies for foreign affairs. A purportedly Spanish vessel has captured an English ship and brought her into Helvoet. The deposition of her captain [SP 87/9/30] is enclosed. They have met with the deputies and been promised a reply as soon as possible. Dated at The Hague. ff. 50-53
