Stair to Carteret: lethargy of the Dutch. He suggests sending another infantry brigade and a regiment of highlanders. He thinks the French army will soon be recalled from Westphalia. Reflections on strategy. Count [Otto Christoph von] Podewils has shown him the king of Prussia's response to his memorial. He has sent Stair's paper given to him on Friday to the king. He encloses proposals from the contractor to the Austrian troops in Flanders [SP 87/8/87]. Dated at The Hague. ff. 198-201
