Lord Hyndford to Stair: the insult committed at his house in Berlin has been redressed, and he encloses a letter from Count [Heinrich von] Podewils on the subject [SP 87/8/74]. He has transmitted the memorials of 28 and 30 [April], accompanied by a preamble, which he encloses [SP 87/8/75], and gives the king of Prussia's verbal negative response. Perfidy of the king. He quotes a further written response from the king. Partly in cipher. Dated at Breslau. ff. 174-176
