John Clevland. Captain Saumarez of the Antelope informs that when getting under sail in King Road he was obliged to let go the small bower anchor and cut it away with some cable. He also left his longboat behind. Have asked Messrs. Devonshire Reeve and Lloyd, merchants at Bristol to employ someone to take up the anchor and put it and the longboat on one of HM ships. They have taken up the cable and buoy rope but have left the anchor for one of the King's ships to take up which will save the expense of bringing it ashore
