Copy letter from Andrew Knox, Master of the Lancaster, to the Board. Complains of Thomas Montague, 2nd Lieutenant who pulled down the shelves where I kept my books and instruments, has torn down my canvas and altered it to suit himself giving him no privacy from the wardroom. He keeps a bitch in the wardroom but lets her loose when she fouls his berth. On making protest he was threatened and abused and made complaint to the Captain. Gives particulars of his service, asks to be removed to another ship and asks for his complaint to be proved by a Court Martial..
