Description

John Clevland. Mr Tweed and Mr Ekins, JPs for Essex, inform the 2 straggling seamen brought before them were conducted by a Constable and other people to the Naval Officer at Harwich who refused to pay the conductors the rewards for apprehending them and conveying them. He was given directions to pay the money with the imprest for that purpose. Cannot make any further enquiry as the Naval Officer is now dead
