Description

John Clevland. Captain Drake has asked to be reimbursed for beds he bought for the new raised men when he commanded the Winchelsea even though they have not been charged against their wages. Seventy-one of the beds have been charged to the men, 3 are issued to men not found on the ships' books and 67 to men in the Tasker tender for which no books have yet been received. He has produced a receipt for payment of the money and a certificate for them on the Winchelsea and opine he can be repaid
