John Clevland. Mr Major informs from Portsmouth that he has speeded up the completion of the transports taken up to carry the Forces to Gibraltar and the transport for carrying invalids to Jersey. He applied to Admiral Osborn for a convoy to bring the Hessians round to the River but he has no orders and asks for a convoy to be appointed
