John Clevland. Captain Gaines of the Hound Sloop has applied for a pilot to go from the Nore to Ostend and Middleburgh. Have written to Trinity House but they have no pilot capable of taking charge of her but if Captain Gaines can get to Margate Road or the Downes, a pilot should be available
