Copy letter from Captain Routh of the Jason to the Board. Have sent two pieces of plank by the Portsmouth wagon used in an experiment with George Bridge's composition to prevent worms with another piece prepared with a composition from John Sax, Seaman. Reports on the procedure followed.

27 Jan 1756 Copy letter from the Portsmouth Officers to the Board. Have asked George Wisenburn, Boatswain, and the Gunner of the Jason to inform on the procedure used to test the composition prepared by George Bridges and give their report
